Zazie Olivia Beetz was born Berlin in 1991. Born in Germany, Berlin. She has a mother who is a Social Worker of South Africa-American descent and social worker from New York. Jennifer Aniston attended the same high-school as Beetz. Beetz, who graduated from LaGuardia in 2007, was a student at Skidmore College and studied French. When she graduated from the college Beetz was able to immediately begin auditioning and was offered the part as Van in Atlanta. Beetz was born to the son of a German father as well as an African American mom who was from Berlin was raised by her parents in New York and spoke German and English. Zazie grew up in acting, and has worked in many community theatres. Zendaya was able to land an Disney Channel breakout role thanks her amazing dance skills. In 2010, the actress and dancer got her first break-out performance when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show "Shake it Up," along with the co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya's veg-eating journey started at age eleven when she went to the local slaughterhouse while on a journey with her Dad. PEOPLE reports that she said, "It was horrible to witness all the animals awaiting slaughter at the slaughterhouse." It was shocking to think that's the way I'd gotten my meat!" She's been eating predominantly vegan diet since then.
