Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson gained world-wide recognition as Buffy Summers. In the popular film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she portrayed Rebecca Becky Granger. Born in California, she began her interest in acting when she was an early child. She started her career acting in commercials as an actress. She appeared in an episode in the NBC sitcom It's Your Move, in 1984. She debuted on the big screen two years laterin the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan, who is renowned for her breath-taking voice and smooth blonde hairlisp has been playing side roles in the last couple of years. She won her the Young Artist Award in 1989 for Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Pictures for Flowers in the Attic.
